    I think Peter must have been in Chattanoga before going to Greenville? I remember that we stopped by to visit him and Betsie as part of a longer trip south. They were thrilled to be taken out to dinner and Peter talked about doing the accounts for a grocery chain. I think they were struggling financially. Peter described how his employers sent the best quality produce and meats to their stores in well to do areas, reserving the less desirable items for the stores patronized by the poor. That made a big impression on me. The year was probably 1953.
